Welcome to Malta
Malta is an archipelago of seven islands in the Mediterranean Sea – but only three are inhabited. Malta has a warm climate and boasts numerous architectural and historical monuments including nine UNESCO World Heritage sites. Visit the cities of Valletta and Sliema and the Hypogeum of HalSaflien – a subterranean structure dating back to 3300 – 3000 BC. It is the only known prehistoric underground temple in the world.
